Akumal, May 2008 - Sponsored by the Centro
Ecologico Akumal (CEA), the clinic was held in conjunction with the municipality of
Soladaridad, and provided free spay or neuter services to the residents of the pueblo of
Akumal and surrounding areas.
Mahahual/Xcalak, January 2008 - Mid January marked the very
first spay & neuter campaign in Xcalak and Mahahual.
Akumal TNR, October 2007 - The first feral cat
trapping program was done in October of 2007. TNR is the ONLY humane, and effective, way of
addressing the overpopulation crisis.

Chemuyil, March 2006 - Our mission of assisting animals in
the Yucatan came into play in Chemuyil in March 2006, when we sponsored a clinic, in
conjunction with the local municipality of Solidaridad.

TNR Facts - The most common complaints about cats include
fighting, yowling, and spraying. Spaying and neutering the cats results in reducing these
behaviors, usually within about 30 days.
